The event is created for beginners and intermediate drummers with the aim of learning to set up the drum set and knowing everything about it, about the instruments, mechanics and arrangement of drums in the room. In addition to the lecture we will also practically participate in the learning process.
The topics of the lecture and practical block will be as follows:
- What drum set consists of: names of instruments and their applications (cymbals, lugs, hoops, springs, mechanics, stands, pedals and more)
- Setting up drums in the position of a triangular: bass drum, hi-hat, drum throne and snare drum in the middle
- Positioning other instruments in the space
- Height and angle of instruments, stands
- Setting up the height of the drum throne: adjustments, memory locks, seating on the throne
- Setting up the cymbals: angle, hi-hat clutch system, hi-hat pedal, correct striking on the cymbals
- Setting up the single pedal/double bass pedal: spring, angle of the beater, positioning of the foot
- Setting up the tonal quality of the drums: types of plastics (top and bottom, coated or clear), setting up screws on the hoops, dampers, correct tuning of the drums (bass drum, toms, snare drum)
During and after the lecture we will be happy to answer questions and communicate with each other.
